Ingredients (serve 2)
- 120g minced beef
- 120g minced pork
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 tbsp red, white or mixed miso
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- salt and black pepper
- 1 pinch nutmeg
- 2-3 tbsp vegetable oil
Method:
- Combine everything together (except for oil) in a big bowl until the mixture gets sticky and a whitish colour.
- Shape it round or oval and flatten with hands to get rid of air from the patty.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan. Cook the patty one side in medium heat. When it gets brown, flip it and cook the other side. (Do not try to flatten with a spatula while cooking, or you'll lose all the tasty juice!)
- Put cooked rice on a plate with the hamburg, cannellini beans and fresh vegetables topped with Japanese Kewpie mayonnaise.
Note:
If the patty starts to burn, turn down the heat after you flip it to cook the other side. Another way is to add 1-2 tbsp of water(white wine or sake if you have!). Cover with a lid and steam with low heat until the meat is cooked.
